"Scouting for the Cure"
A partnership with three Girl Scout Councils in South Dakota to provide education programs to younger girls and their family members about breast health and breast cancer through activities, education and fellowship. The program was delivered to 30 communities across the state and included creation of breast lump reference bead bracelets and necklaces, pillows for mastectomy patients, t-shirts, pink ribbon pins, breast cancer awareness bookmarks, frames and magnets, breast health bingo programs, mobile mammography, girl scout patches and educational materials. Programs were often provided in partnerships with area hospitals.
