"Making Mammograms Available to 30-49 Year old Underinsured Women"
Program provided screening and diagnostic services (mammogram & clinical breast exam) to more than 450 uninsured, and underinsured women between ages 19-30 throught SD.

Therapeutic Healing Institute, Sioux Falls
"Integrative Wellness for Breast Cancer Patients"
The Therapeutic Healing Institute provided therapeutic healing services to breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment. Services were provided free of charge to women who otherwise would not have been able to afford them. Services included: guided imagery/visualization, healing touch/reiki, rhythmic breathing, meditation/prayer, rhythmic and therapeutic massage, and photo stimulation. Focus was placed on decreasing fatigue, loneliness, hopelessness, and depression. Patience reported a sense of empowerment in their own healing process. Nearly 450 services were provided.

Avera Cancer Institute, Sioux Falls
"Baking for the Cure"
Forty-one students and four teachers assembled "Baking for the Cure" kits, including Avera Cooking for Life cookbooks. Educational materials were provided to 50 women, and 45 clinical breast exams were performed.
