RFA - How To Apply For A Grant

The South Dakota Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 2010-2011. Applications for breast cancer and breast health programs for nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and educational institutions in all counties of South Dakota except Union are eligible for funding. Last year we funded eleven programs granting nearly $200,000. 

Deadline for completion of applications is December 31, 2009 at 5:00 pm. Announcements of funding will be made in March, 2010.

Grant Guidelines

  • Applications must meet the priorities outlined in the Community Profile, which include serving under-insured or uninsured women, rural women and breast cancer patients.
  • Applications may be made to support either new or established programs.
  • Priority will be given to applications with little or no requests for salary support.
  • Applicant organizations must be located or providing services within the state of South Dakota.
  • Applicants must submit proposal and all attachments by email to glendavanroekel@sio.midco.net
  • Deadline of receipt of proposals is December 31, 2009.
