New Small Grant Program Provided by Komen South Dakota
The South Dakota Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is currently offering a NEW Small Grants program to support breast health education projects, conferences, and travel. A small grant can help organizations incorporate breast health into their activities, explore new ways of doing things, creatively serve community needs, or reach new communities. Save Lids to Save Lives
Yoplait has created a Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives® goal for all Affiliates: a 20% increase over our 2008 lid collections. If we accomplish that goal, we will receive an additional $100 benefit. Last year, with your help, we raised nearly $4,000 through the Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives program. We need your help! South Dakota’s lid collection goal is 46,039 lids. Grantwriting Tips Provided for Komen Grants
Knowing what the keys to funding are for various grant programs is never easy. That is why the South Dakota Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is offering a grant writing workshop to give applicants the tips they need to create a successful grant application for the South Dakota Affiliate. The workshop will be held Wednesday, August 19 from 1 to 5 pm at the Ramkota River Centre in Pierre, SD. Read the complete newsletter here . . .
Rally for the Cure at Bakker Crossing
Thank you to Gail Blocker, Kristin Mouw, Sharee Fritzemeier, Shawna Maxfield, Jill Schultz and the
others who created a successful Rally for the Cure at Bakker Crossing! Thanks also the sponsors of this
event! Forty-eight women enjoyed a beautiful evening, great food, prizes, raffles items and mulligans
