The
South Dakota Affiliate of Susan G Komen For The Cure is
proud to announce the availability of grant funds for
fiscal year 2008-2009. Applications for breast cancer
and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations,
governmental agencies, and educational institutions in
all counties of South Dakota except Union are eligible
for funding.
The
mission of the Susan G. Komen For The Cure is to
eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by
advancing research, education, screening and treatment.
The Foundation runs one of the most innovative,
responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. The
Affiliate will fund non-duplicative, community-based
breast health education and breast cancer screening and
treatment projects for the medically underserved in
South Dakota.
Our
grant cycle runs from April through March. Eligible applications
must be received by the Komen South Dakota Affiliate
by 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2007. Announcements
of funding will be made in March, 2008.
